What this planner calculates
The formula
The planner compares two totals you define: the clips you plan to approve, and the slots you plan to publish into. It is arithmetic on your own figures.

Totals are shown to one decimal place; the arithmetic keeps full precision. A difference smaller than 0.05 clips is treated as balanced.
What this planner does not do
- It does not predict views, reach, subscribers, revenue or whether a clip performs well. It has no data about outcomes and makes no claim about them.
- It does not work out how many clips your footage will yield. Clips per episode is a number you decide and enter.
- It does not calculate source minutes, and it never derives a clip count from video duration.
- It does not compare you to other creators, and it uses no industry average or third-party benchmark.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure in the result traces back to the five values you entered. Nothing is filled in for you, there are no default or recommended settings, and no value is fetched from anywhere. The example button exists only to show the shape of a result.
Common questions about the clip cadence planner
The planner does not answer that, because the honest answer depends on your footage and your standards. Enter the number you would actually approve, and the planner shows whether that choice fills your posting schedule.
No. It is a scheduling calculation, not a forecast. It multiplies and divides the numbers you type and says whether the two totals match. It has no information about views, reach or engagement, and it will never show you a projection.
Your planned clips and your publishing slots are within 0.05 clips of each other over the whole period. It means the two totals agree — nothing more. It is not a judgement that the cadence is right for you.
